SpaceVIP to Offer Luxury Space Balloon Trip with Michelin-Starred Chef’s Innovative Menu

  1. SpaceVIP, a luxury space travel company, will offer a high-tech balloon trip 100,000 feet above sea level with a Michelin-starred chef.
  2. The Danish chef, Rasmus Munk, plans to create innovative dishes using techniques like aerogel-inspired food and encapsulated aroma.
  3. The six-hour trip will offer a sunrise view over the earth’s curvature, with wifi on board for live streaming.
  4. The spacecraft, built by Space Perspectives, uses a pressurized capsule lifted by a space balloon, a technology developed by NASA.
  5. Test flights will start in April 2024, with the first trip set to debut next year.
  6. SpaceVIP isn’t the first to offer space dining experiences, with Zephalto announcing a similar service for 2025.
